Sam Giffin
Filmmaker
Bio
Sam Giffin's first film came in the form of a carefully composed mix tape, played along side ski highlights of his brother and friends. Pressing record on both devices at the same time, he shared their adventures around town--unknowing this would become his career.
Continued apprenticeships in NYC under a highly influential advisor, Ryan Fenson-Hood, led Sam to take a humanistic approach in action sports film--always looking to tell a story. This sensitivity, combined with his keen ability to choose great collaborators, has sent Sam's first three films soaring through mountain film festival circuit. His client list includes Outdoor Research, Atomic Skis, Arbor Snowboards, Studio 411, United Professionals, and more.
